MYERSPeggy Ann Myers, 60, died Saturday, June 15, 2019, at Premier Perry Village, New Bloomfield.She was born Feb. 19, 1959, in Harrisburg to Mary (Radabaugh) Connell of Crystal River, Fla., and the late David S. Myers of Duncannon.She enjoyed spending time with her family and living life “her” way.In addition to her mother, surviving are a sister, Susan Palmer of Enola; a brother, Ronald Myers of Duncannon; and numerous nieces and nephews. Joann W. Motter JOANN W. MOTTERJoann Wise Motter, 80, of Gettysburg died Saturday, July 13, 2019, at home.She was born Dec. 1, 1938, in Blain to John W. and Edith D. (Wise) Hench.She was a graduate of Blain Union High School; a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Gettysburg; active in the Adams County Breast Cancer Coalition, the Majestic Theater and Gettysburg Adams Chamber of Commerce, where she received the 2017 Chamber Volunteer of the Year award. When living in New Bloomfield, she was a member of the Civic Association, Christ Lutheran Church and the church choir.Surviving are her husband of 24 years, Gene R. Motter; three children, Joni D. Baker and husband Jim of Camp Hill, Jeffrey W. Smith of New Germantown and Bradley A. Smith and wife Meghan of Easton; seven grandchildren; four stepchildren, Gregory G. Motter and wife Ann of Biglerville, Eric E. Motter and wife Jennifer of New Oxford, Jill E. Stoner and husband Michael and Joy E. Weikert and husband Brian, both of Bendersville; 10 stepgrandchildren; five stepgreat-grandchildren; three brothers, John W. Hench Jr. and Lloyd D. Hench and wife Janice, both of Mechanicsburg, and Ray E. Hench of Blain; and three nieces and three nephews. A service was held July 20 in her church with the Rev. Chesnut, 85, formerly of Mercersburg, died Saturday, July 27, 2019, with her family by her side in Chambersburg.Born January 14, 1934, in McConnellsburg, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Goldie Strait Lininger.She graduated from McConnellsburg High School and married Charles W. Chesnut on January 25, 1953.She worked as a cook at the Mercersburg Inn and Mercersburg Academy until retirement in 1994. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She liked shopping, cooking, playing bingo and spending summers in Delaware with her family.She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Charles W. Chesnut, and six children: Karen Carbaugh, Myrtle Beach, S.C.; Debra (Ronald) Pine, Mercersburg; Barbara (Joel) Sites, Mercersburg; Carol (Leroy) Fickes, Chambersburg; Thomas (Kathi) Chesnut, Mercersburg, and Brenda (Mark) Heckman, Mercersburg; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two brothers: Gary and Guiena Lininger, both of McConnellsburg.She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Susan E. Pine, and a son-in-law, Richard Carbaugh.A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, August 1, at Lininger-Fries Funeral Home Inc. Mercersburg, with chaplain Brenda Doyle officiating. The family will receive family and friends one hour prior to the service.
